RAM Forever Stem Endowed scholarship
In gratitude for his years in Nebraska, John H. Gamble, a Ralston High School graduate and his wife, Yvonne, established an endowed scholarship in memory of his parents, Tess and Vale Gamble for graduating seniors pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Dr. Gamble has previously contributed to the creation and funding of other endowed scholarships and legacy grant endowments. He believes in and supports more educational opportunities for students, like the learning and growth impacts STEM education provides society.
As scientific and technological innovation continues to evolve in the years ahead, demand will increase for STEM employment opportunities. To address those broad-ranging career pathways, scholarships are available for graduating seniors pursuing their studies from an accredited higher education institution. |
Description of Scholarship: This scholarship centers on the student’s academic performance, interest in a STEM career, and participation in co-curricular activities. Important attributes for the student to possess include a passion for learning, good communication skills, perseverance, and service to others. Applicants must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for this scholarship. First-generation students and those who demonstrate financial need are encouraged to apply. Three graduating seniors will be selected in 2025. Each scholarship recipient will receive $2,000. The scholarship will be disbursed through the Ralston Schools Foundation directly to the recipient’s higher education institution, in accordance with the scholarship terms. Payments will be divided into two equal installments, one for each semester. Disbursement will occur upon notification of acceptance and proof of enrollment at the institution.
