RAM Forever Stem Endowed scholarship
John H. Gamble, a Ralston High School graduate and his wife, Yvonne, established an endowed scholarship in memory of his parents, Tess and Vale Gamble for graduating seniors pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Dr. Gamble has previously contributed to the creation and funding of other endowed scholarships and legacy grants. He believes in and supports more post graduate educational opportunities for students, like the learning and growth impacts STEM education provides society and the economy.
As scientific and technological innovation continues to evolve in the years ahead, demand will increase for STEM employment opportunities. To address those broad-ranging career pathways, scholarships are available for graduating seniors pursuing a certificate or degree from vocational schools, community colleges, or universities. |
Description of Scholarship: This scholarship centers on the student’s academic performance, interest in a STEM career, and participation in co-curricular activities. Important attributes for the student to possess include a passion for learning, good communication skills, perseverance, and service to others. First-generation students and those who demonstrate financial need are encouraged to apply. Three graduating seniors will be selected in 2025. Each scholarship recipient will receive $1,200. Upon notification of acceptance and enrollment, the money they receive will be paid to the college or vocational school of choice in the year awarded.
