Tanner Farrell Memorial Scholarship

Tanner was a friend to so many. He had an infectious smirk and a great sense of humor. His caring and compassionate heart is what drew people to Tanner. Tanner’s love for sports was obvious to all who had the pleasure of watching him compete in baseball and basketball. Through sports, Tanner met a lot of his closest friends. He enjoyed competing in high school against former teammates from other schools. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, building puzzles, gaming and playing board games with family and friends. Tanner enjoyed traveling while playing sports or taking vacations. Colorado was one of his favorite places to visit, as he loved the mountains. He also loved looking at the moon and sharing pictures with family. Even though Tanner is gone at a young age, he will never be forgotten. His legacy will continue, through providing ongoing scholarships. Baseball tournaments and golf outings will continue to provide funds to the scholarship foundation.

Description of Scholarship: The Tanner Farrell Scholarship is a $1,000 award presented to a graduating senior from Ralston High School who has demonstrated a passion for sports and a commitment to their education. To be eligible, applicants must have participated in at least one sport during their high school career, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and plan to enroll in a 2-year, 4-year, or vocational school.
This scholarship is a tribute to the legacy of Tanner, a young man who was known for his infectious smile, sense of humor, and love of sports. His memory will live on through this scholarship, which aims to support and inspire future generations of students. The scholarship will be disbursed through the Ralston Schools Foundation directly to the recipient’s higher education institution, in accordance with the scholarship terms. Payments will be divided into two equal installments, one for each semester. Disbursement will occur upon notification of acceptance and proof of enrollment at the institution.
