The first recipient of the Mickey Looney Team Spirit Scholarship is Molly McEvoy. Molly will be attending Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. next fall. Her major will be Pre-Law with a minor in Deaf Education.
Molly McEvoy is an amazing young lady. "She is deaf but has never let that hold her back. She is a great leader and very involved at RHS. She is very bright has been a part of both the National Honors Society and the Deaf Academic Bowl. She has been chosen to attend many leadership conferences and serves in leadership roles for multiple student organizations, both at the State level and locally at RHS. She played basketball, tennis, and volleyball and participated in Athletic Leadership Academy. She also serves as a 'Rambassador' which are the RHS student ambassadors who are involved in many school and community activities. Overall, she is a great representation of not only school spirit, but the kind of student who overcomes any obstacle thrown her way with grace and determination, similar to the life Mickey lived.” We would like to sincerely thank all the donors for helping to make Mickey's legacy an enduring one. Giving back to our alma mater showcases your 'RAM' spirit! |
