Hal E. Kronberg Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Named in memory of Hal E. Kronberg, an endowed scholarship for academically talented graduating seniors, was established at Ralston High School by Hal’s parents, Wendell and Joyce Kronberg. They created this scholarship following their son’s unexpected death during his senior year. Hal was known as an outstanding student who excelled in wrestling, football, band and choir. He was elected to National Honor Society his junior year. As a senior, he was a finalist for the Outstanding Boy Teen of the Year awarded by the Ralston Area Chamber of Commerce.
Description of Scholarship: This scholarship funds graduating seniors that are members of the National Honor Society and were active in two or more extra-curricular activities. Important attributes for the student to possess include a passion for learning, good communication skills, perseverance, and a concern for others. One graduating senior will be selected in 2024. The scholarship recipient will receive $3,500. Upon notification of acceptance and enrollment, the money the recipient receives will be paid to the college or vocational school of choice in the year awarded. |
