RAM Forever Young Scholars' Endowed Scholarship

The RAM Forever Young Scholars’ Endowed Scholarship, established by John H. Gamble, a Ralston High School graduate and his wife, Yvonne is a selective five-year, pre-college scholarship for exceptionally promising 7th grade student with exemplary character attributes and no disciplinary or law-breaking referrals. This scholarship is designed to identify and nurture students with high academic potential during a Young Scholars’ middle school and high school experiences.
From the 8th through the 12th grade, Young Scholars will receive comprehensive academic advising, college advising, and financial support for learning enrichment opportunities. |
Description of Scholarship: This scholarship is a competitive pre-college scholarship that provides educational support for high-achieving students with exemplary character and no disciplinary or lawbreaking referrals. They may be the first in their family to attend college, multilingual learners, or students who are economically disadvantaged. Beginning of the 6th grade, applicants must have earned grades of all or mostly As, with no Cs or below in core academic subjects (English/language arts, math, science, social studies/history). The student receiving this scholarship needs to exemplify outstanding character attributes with no disciplinary or law-breaking referral. From the 8th to the 12th grade, Young Scholars receive funding for academic and extracurricular activities, as well as individualized educational advising. Each Young Scholars’ recipient will receive $500 per academic year over the course of five-years beginning with one 8th grade Young Scholar selection in the 2025 fall semester. Each following September another 8th grade Young Scholar will be selected. The scholarship will be disbursed through the Ralston Schools Foundation. Annual payments will be divided into two equal installments, one for each semester.
