RAM SPIRIT OF ‘62 FOREVER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
|
As children of the greatest generation, alumni from the Ralston High School (RHS) Class of 1962 believe in the values of public education and in giving back to Ralston Public Schools. In support of graduating seniors that plan to pursue their education along many different vocational or technical career paths, the RAM Spirit of ‘62 Forever Endowed Scholarship was created and funded by alumni from the RHS Class of 1962. Many times, the biggest barrier to completing a student’s educational goals is not academic, but financial. This Scholarship helps ease the financial burden for deserving students who are committed to their career goals and demonstrate a strong work ethic, personal responsibility, and dedication to community service. |
Meeting society's future needs demand that graduating seniors headed toward skills-based careers prepare themselves for accelerated work-life challenges and opportunities. This endowed scholarship ensures that the RAM Spirit of ’62 lives on in perpetuity to support their next steps.
Description of Scholarship: This merit-based scholarship is awarded to one graduating senior who intends to pursue higher education studies in vocational or technical training programs outside a 4-year college track. The applicants must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for this scholarship. Students who have held part-time jobs, apprenticeships, or internships in their chosen field or have actively contributed to their communities may stand out in the selection process. The scholarship recipient will receive $1,000. The scholarship will be disbursed through the Ralston Schools Foundation directly to the recipient’s higher education institution, in accordance with the scholarship terms. Payments will be divided into two equal installments, one for each semester. Disbursement will occur upon notification of acceptance and proof of enrollment at the institution.
