Dr. Virginia Grogan Memorial Art Scholarship
This scholarship for an outstanding art student at Ralston High School is funded from the estate of long time art teacher and Fine Arts Department Head Dr. Virginia Grogan. Dr. Grogan served the district and its students from 1977 to 2013 as an art teacher, then another four years as a dedicated substitute teacher. Dr. Grogan loved the fine arts and specifically loved watching students grow in their skills and their appreciation of art.
Criteria for the Scholarship:
The intent of the scholarship is to recognize an exceptional art student from Ralston High School who is intending on either enrolling in a 4 year institution to continue art education or graphic design, or for any student that seeks to continue their art education through either an academy or a community college.

Students applying for this scholarship should:
The recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to assist with continued studies in the field of art. The scholarship runs through the Ralston Schools Foundation, and will be paid to the post-secondary institution upon the presentation of proof of enrollment.
Application Requirements:
- Have taken a minimum of three art classes while enrolled at RHS
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing studies in the field of visual art
- Understood the value of education and how it provides opportunity for growth
- Been an outstanding citizen both in the classroom and out
