RHS CLASS OF 1968 SCHOLARSHIP IN HONOR OF VETERANS
|
The Ralston High School (RHS) Class of 1968 graduated during the turbulent Vietnam War years. Various members of the Class later served in Vietnam and other locations around the world, and many of our parents and other close relatives served in the US armed services during World War II and the Korean War. While being deployed, without fanfare they fought on the front lines and in support functions to maintain and repair a wide array of equipment and built facilities to protect and render aid in their service to our country. |
The Class of 1968 created and funded this endowed scholarship to honor them and all our nation’s Veterans. We know from our own experiences that success can be achieved through many different educational paths like in the armed services; therefore, we are awarding scholarships to college-bound students and to students pursuing an alternate higher education route.
Description of Scholarship: This merit-based scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors who attended RHS for two or more years and demonstrated an interest in a 4-year college degree and those pursuing a skilled-trades career.
