2026 Keith Gilliland Aspiring Teachers Endowed Scholarship Recipient: Ashlee Cavender

During her time in Ralston, Ashlee balanced a busy schedule, having served as the varsity wrestling captain, and show choir vocal section leader while also participating in varsity softball, band, concert choir, NHS, and Educators Rising. Ashlee's educational journey in Ralston began at Karen Western Elementary. 

Ashlee plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha to major in Music Education. Her professional goal is to become a teacher and direct secondary-level choir programs. She intends to apply the administrative and leadership skills she acquired through her high school activities to plan lessons and manage her future classrooms.​
